Viviane Cappellari – Speech & Language Therapist
Viviane Cappellari was born and raised in Brazil. She graduated in Speech and Language Therapy in 1999 and thereafter achieved her Post Graduation in Oral Motor and Vocal Disorders from IMEC and Master Degree in Speech Therapy at Santa Maria Federal University. In addition, she is specialised in Oral Motor and feeding disorders certified by the Beckman Oral Motor Programme from USA.
As a licensed Speech and Language Therapist, she is member of the Brazilian Council of Speech and Language Therapy (CRFa- RS) and licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) since 2009.
She has over 15 years work experience in a variety of pediatric and adult settings. She has helped children with a wide range of difficulties and diagnosis including:
- Language and developmental delay
- ADHD /ADD
- Voice disorders
- Hearing impairment
- Phonological awareness
- Oral motor and feeding disorders
- Pervasive developmental disorders
- Down syndrome
- Cerebral palsy
- Learning difficulties
Before joining Dubai Physiotherapy and Family Medicine Clinic she worked for five years at Dubai Center for Special Needs (DCSN) in a multi-disciplinary team serving a variety of students with different cultural backgrounds and diagnosis. At DCSN, she shared her experiences and knowledge-training with parents, teachers, caregivers and therapists. She has created and coordinated the DCSN afternoon clinic, providing more opportunities of treatment for outpatients.
Viviane follows a socio-interactive approach based on an Individualised Educational Programme (IEP) tailored to each of her clients and based on their unique and individual needs. She believes in a collaborative therapy involving parents, teachers, caregivers and therapists to achieve optimal goals.
Viviane is currently working at Dubai Physiotherapy and Family Clinic in Jumeirah Dubai offering individual and group sessions to support adults, children and families.
