Dr Susan Norton

Specialist in Family Medicine


Dr Norton is a Canadian born and trained Family Doctor. She studied Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. She graduated with Honours (Cum Laude) in 1992.

Dr Norton then obtained her Specialty training in Family Medicine in 1994, from the University of Ottawa.

She has always been an active member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and was recently appointed a Fellow of the College in 2004.
Dr Norton has a wide range of clinical experience. Prior to graduation, she worked for 3 months in rural South Africa in an isolated outreach hospital . She has worked in Northern Canada in a rural hospital with a catchment area of 10,000 people. Dr Norton and the 3 other doctors were responsible for all care of all patients in a 60 km radius, including 24 hr Casualty coverage, outpatient clinics, inpatient care and minor surgery.

Dr Norton has also worked in suburban group practice including complete inpatient care, operating room (theatre) assists for all her patients, obstetrical deliveries, as well as regular office care of all members of the family, from the very young to the very old. She also has a special interest in Palliative Care (specialized medical care of the dying patient – to ensure dignity and freedom from pain and suffering) and has extensive extra training and experience in this area.

Dr Norton relocated to Dubai from Vancouver, Canada in 2003, as a result of her husband’s employment in Dubai. Dr Norton has 2 sons that are in school in Dubai.

Dr Norton’s basic principal of practice is to treat patients with the same degree of concern as she would treat her own family. She currently is licensed to practice in Dubai, and British Columbia, Canada.

DR. BHADRISH VALLABH

Specialist Family Physician

Dr. Vallabh is a Specialist Family Physician, a South African Graduate, presently the Regional Medical Director (South Africa, Africa and the Middle East) for Abbott.
Dr. Vallabh’s list of educational achievement includes his MBCHB at the University of Cape Town (1980-1985), and a Master Degree in Family Medicine at the University of Witwatersrand (in 1993). His most recent degree is an MBA from the Business School of Netherlands (2003). Furthermore, he has obtained diplomas in Obstetrics and Fellowship in Family Health from the College of Medicine, and has completed a course in Financial Performance Management and Control (with Distinction). He has submitted and received acceptance of his PhD thesis at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He is a member and examiner for the College of Family Physicians and a Fellow of the Academy of family Physicians.

Dr. Callaghan has 35 year’s practice in Libya, Saudi Arabia, Africa, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Australia, New Zealand and UAE in a wide variety of Clinical practice from remote stations to ambulatory and trauma medicine. He is qualified in aviation, underwater, tropical and travel medicine from Kings College London, University of Aberdeen and Harvard’s respectively.
